  • My practice is physically based in Pleasant Hill, California. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in California and Pennsylvania, which means I can serve anyone who resides in those states.

  • Our sessions take place virtually. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform that allows you to do therapy from the comfort of your own space.

No traffic, no waiting room. Just the support you need, wherever you are with privacy & flexibility.

  • Looking for support can often be the hardest and most vulnerable part. The first step is finding the right therapist based on your unique needs. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation for us to connect and explore how I can best support you in working towards your goals and to answer any questions you have about the process. • Fee per 60 minute therapy session is $150-200 at your choosing.

You have the flexibility to choose any amount within this range based on your circumstances. Consider opting for the lower end if you have low-medium income and have no access to a “financial safety net” from family or friends. Consider opting for the higher end if you have disposable income, can afford costly annual vacations, and are homeowners or rent a higher end property. Opting for the higher end of the standard fee range also contributes to my support to those facing financial constraints.

I believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone; for this reason I reserve a number of reduced fee spots. Please contact me to discuss further.

I keep your credit/debit card on file and charge it the day after our session through a HIPAA compliant, secure electronic health records system called SimplePractice.

  • I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not bill insurance. Many PPO insurance plans will cover a percentage of services provided by out-of-network providers. If you have a PPO-type plan and want to submit a claim for out-of-network reimbursement, I can give you a “superbill” to submit with your insurance company for reimbursement.

I accept HSA and FSA cards.

I also provide services for certain Employment Assistant Programs (EAP): CONCERN and Sutter Health.

  • In short, this varies on a variety of factors - differing goals, life circumstances, stressors, and personal needs.

We will work collaboratively on your treatment goals, track progress, and ensure your needs are getting met in therapy. Some folks reach their goals quickly after a few sessions. Others enjoy the consistency therapy brings to their lives, a dedicated space for continued, deeper inner work.

  • I offer a variety of morning, afternoon and evening hours to help make therapy sessions as accessible as possible during the week. During our initial phone consultation, we will work together to find days/times that work best for your schedule. I also offer limited Sunday availability that we can also discuss as an option.

  • You are free to reach out at any time via text message, email or a phone call. Therapy does not occur via text message or email. I respond to all contacts within 48 business hours.

Note: This is not a crisis response clinic. If you need crisis support, I recommend that you first get in touch with the people you love and trust, and be with them in person, if possible. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to your closest emergency room for crisis support. You may also call or text 988 (the Suicide Prevention Lifeline), 1-800-662-4357 or text 741741 (SAMHSA’s National Helpline) for crisis support 24/7.

  • Definitely. I center my outreach to support communities and folks with marginalized identities, because of institutional and systemic barriers faced to access care. And, I wholeheartedly believe that every human being can benefit from therapy. My clients hold diverse identities, and we address a wide range of life issues and challenges in our work.

  • Although I am a practicing Buddhist, my therapy practice centers your issues, interests, and strengths - which includes your own spirituality and beliefs. And, I do bring extensive training in both secular mindfulness practices in western psychotherapy and Buddhist practices rooted in Theravada Buddhism if that is of interest yours as well.

  • As of January 1, 2022, a new Federal law was passed called the "No Surprises Act" in which you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

    ◦ You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

    ◦ Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

    ◦ If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

    ◦ Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit this link https://www.cms.gov/medical-bill-rights or call 1-800-985-3059.
